Part-Time Chinese Teacher

Essential Educational Staffing is looking for a friendly, patient part-time Mandarin Chinese teacher to work one-on-one with a 5-year-old bilingual student (English and Thai) at a private home located 5 minutes walk from Lat Phrao MRT Station, Bangkok. Sessions are 2 hours long, 1 or 2 times per week, with flexible scheduling. Start January 2027.

This is an ideal job for a Chinese-speaking teacher, tutor, or university student who enjoys working with young children and wants flexible, well-paid part-time work alongside other commitments. You'll be teaching one young learner who is already comfortable communicating in both English and Thai, making it easier to introduce Mandarin in a fun, playful way.

The family is supportive and committed to giving their child an early head start with Mandarin Chinese. They are looking for someone reliable and creative, a teacher who can make learning feel like play through songs, picture books, simple conversation, drawing and games. There is no rigid curriculum to follow; you'll have the freedom to plan lessons that suit the child's pace and interests.

Sessions take place at Essential TEFL Bangkok, with a comfortable learning space already set up. The parents are happy to discuss scheduling that works for both sides afternoons, evenings, or weekends are all open for discussion.
