Essential Educational Staffing is looking for a friendly, patient part-time Mandarin Chinese teacher to work one-on-one with a 5-year-old bilingual student (English and Thai) at a private home located 5 minutes walk from Lat Phrao MRT Station, Bangkok. Sessions are 2 hours long, 1 or 2 times per week, with flexible scheduling. Start ASAP.
This is an ideal role for a Chinese-speaking teacher, tutor, or university student who enjoys working with young children and wants flexible, well-paid part-time work alongside other commitments. You'll be teaching one young learner who is already comfortable communicating in both English and Thai, making it easier to introduce Mandarin in a fun, playful way.
The family is warm, supportive, and committed to giving their child an early head start with Mandarin Chinese. They are looking for someone reliable, encouraging, and creative — a teacher who can make learning feel like play through songs, picture books, simple conversation, drawing, and games. There is no rigid curriculum to follow; you'll have the freedom to plan lessons that suit the child's pace and interests.
Sessions take place at the family's home, with a quiet, comfortable learning space already set up. The parents are happy to discuss scheduling that works for both sides — afternoons, evenings, or weekends are all open for discussion.
This position is open to Thai nationals, expats already living in Bangkok, and international applicants with the right to work in Thailand. No visa sponsorship is provided for this part-time role.
